Planted Recaro Sport C Seat Adapter

Planted Technology® Planted Recaro Sport C Seat Adapter (PRSCSA).

This adapter is made specifically for adapting the Recaro Sport C seat to a Planted Seat Bracket with the Standard bolt pattern, simplifying the installation process while adding only 3/16 of an inch in height.

Each Planted Recaro Sport C Adapter includes the parts necessary to install one Recaro Sport C seat to a Planted Seat Bracket. These parts include two 3/16 inch thick steel spacers with one pressed-in stud each, four machined nut inserts, four button head cap screws, six washers, and two nyloc nuts.

Installation Instructions:

1. With the Sport C seat turned on it’s side or upside down, place the spacers onto the Sport C sliders with the studs toward the front of the seat (see image below).

2. Secure each spacer to the Sport C slider through the front most hole on each spacer, using one button head cap screw, one washer and one machined nut insert on each side of the seat. The button head cap screw and washer should be installed inside the sliders with the machined nut insert on the bottom of the spacer with the small machined end inserted into the spacer to prevent it from spinning.
3. Place the Planted Seat Bracket on the spacers, inserting the studs through the holes closest to the front corners of the seat bracket.
4. Ensure the Planted Seat Bracket sits flush against the spacer.

IMPORTANT: With some seat bracket applications, the set pin on the rear of each Sport C slider may contact the Planted Seat Bracket’s rear “legs.” Filing down or removing the set pin will be required in these cases.

5. Secure the front of the seat bracket to the spacer by installing one washer and one nyloc nut onto each of the front studs.
6. Secure the rear of the seat bracket to the spacer and Sport C slider using one machined nut insert, one washer and one button head cap screw on each side of the seat. The machined nut insert should be installed inside the Sport C slider with the small end inserted into the hole on the slider and spacer, preventing the machined nut insert from spinning. The button head cap screw and washer should be installed through the bottom of the seat bracket into the machined nut insert (see image below).
